Railway is a deployment platform focused on developer experience, usage-based billing, and fast setup. It runs on its own hardware (Railway Metal), not resold AWS or GCP capacity. Services sit on a private network and can talk to each other without exposing public endpoints.

Every Zerops container is a full Linux environment via Incus. You can SSH into any running service. Railway also supports SSH as of 2025; the remaining difference is less about access and more about how much of the surrounding platform (managed services, networking defaults, project core) is built in.
